As director of People and Workplace Operations, Elizabeth Blunden has responsibility for providing vision, leadership and direction in formulating strategies, programs, policies and procedures for the People and Workplace Operations division, as well as for ensuring that the organization is compliant with legislation relating to CIHI’s Human Resources and Workplace Operations programs.
Ms. Blunden has more than 25 years of experience as both a generalist and a specialist in labour relations and has held various management positions in human resources. She has worked in the federal, municipal and private sectors. Ms. Blunden joined CIHI in February 2007 as manager of Human Resources and assumed the role of director in May 2008. She has a Bachelor of Administrative Studies and a Master of Business Administration, and is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL).
